1.

‘UK’s Hottest Unsigned Band’  – Staines

Albany Down at Staines

Jan 18 2009      8:00P The Hobgoblin, Staines  ALBANY DOWN

Albany Down is an original rock band based near London.
Paul Muir joins the band as front man; Jonny Bescoby is the percussionist with Paul Turley on electric guitar and Billy Dedman on the bass.

The Albany sound is 50% British Indie and 50% West Coast Rock, quite 80’s in places, but with a vintage heartfelt sensitivity and contemporary aggressive energy. Influences include Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, The Who and The Rolling Stones.

The quest to find the “Hottest Unsigned Band” came to a conclusion in November 2006 when Albany Down were voted top overall Pop band by the MSN viewers.
Check ’em out in STAINES live this weekend.
